We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated and proactive Global Trade Compliance Manager (m/f/d) to lead and support the implementation of global trade compliance standards and programs across all Heraeus Electronics subsidiaries. This role is critical to ensure our operations comply with national and international export control laws, sanctions, and customs regulations.

The following challenges await you:

As a Global Trade Compliance Manager (m/f/d) you are responsible for developing and implementing unified Global Trade Compliance and Export control processes across all global entities following the framework given by the Heraeus Group.

You are responsible for ensuring that local practices are aligned with international regulations (e.g., EU Dual-Use Regulation, U.S. EAR, UK Export Control regulations).

In your role, you conduct export control risk assessments for products, technologies, and markets.

You are responsible for monitoring and interpreting changes in global trade laws and advising the Lead Team on business impact.

Moreover, you are responsible for driving global customs compliance and preferential origin strategy, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, optimizing duty savings through effective origin management, and mitigating compliance risks across all regions.

You serve as the subject matter expert, providing hands-on support and guidance to subsidiaries on export control-related questions, broker management, product classifications, licensing, and regulatory interpretations.

Additionally, you are responsible for managing the central screening, evaluation, decision-making and documentation for the legal entities of critical real hits, aligned with OpCo needs and Corporate Global Trade Compliance.

You take central responsibility for, or support subsidiaries with, the classification of goods (ECCN, HS codes), licensing requirements, and screening procedures.

You establish and maintain internal control programs, including denied party screening and end-use checks.

Furthermore, you monitor and continuously seek opportunities to improve export control and customs processes, including the evaluation and implementation of digital tools to enhance efficiency, automation, and compliance monitoring.

You connect in a matrix organization and serve as point of contact to the Corporate Global Trade Compliance team of the Heraeus Group for export control, sanctions and customs topics, ensuring implementation of Corporate standards and guidelines and clear and consistent communication across all subsidiaries.

In addition, you are responsible for designing and delivering training programs for employees of Heraeus Electronics across departments and regions, aligned with Corporate GTC, while promoting a culture of compliance and ethical trade practices.

You lead internal audits and prepare for external inspections, while maintaining documentation and records in accordance with legal requirements.

Moreover, you report to Corporate GTC on audits, findings or other issues and data as required.

You work closely with Legal, Supply Chain, Sales, and R&D teams to ensure compliance is embedded in business processes.

In your role, you liaise with government authorities and external advisors as needed.

Your Profile:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in export control, trade compliance, or customs regulations.

Holding certificates, such as Certified Export Compliance Professional are a plus

Strong knowledge of international trade laws and regulatory frameworks.

Experience in a multinational industrial or technology company is preferred.

Excellent communication and intercultural skills.

Fluent in English and additional languages are a plus.
