Your responsibilities
Duties primarily include teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue further academic qualifications outside of their work responsibilities. They may also pursue doctoral studies outside of working duties.
Your research focus will be on the realisation of highly entangled states and algorithms on a Rydberg quantum computer.
It will involve experimental research with ultracold atoms, especially manipulating and imaging single atoms, performing and analysing measurements, upgrading the measurement apparatus and developing new manipulation techniques.
In the period from 01.01.2029 until 30.11.2029 duties include 3 hours of teaching (3 LVS).
Your profile
A university degree in a relevant field.
Excellent knowledge of general physics and especially of quantum physics and quantum computing. Extensive experience in laboratory work with quantum gas setups, including vacuum, optics, electronics and CAD design. Excellent skills in analytical thinking, numerical simulations, and team-work.
