Your responsibilities

66,67 % of your working hours duties include academic services in the project named above. 33,33 % of your working hours duties primarily include teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue further academic qualifications outside of their work responsibilities.

Teaching hours 1,25 p/w.

Research on the physics of air showers and propagation and origin of high energy cosmic radiation in the context of the Pierre Auger project, including development of analysis methods and use of numerical simulations. More concretely implementation of hadronic interaction models into air shower codes and extensions of the propagation code CRPropa.

Your profile

A university degree in a relevant field plus doctorate.

• knowledge of electromagnetic and hadronic interactions of high energy cosmic rays
• experience in modeling and numerical simulation of high energy cosmic ray interactions and propagation
