1. Teacher of Maths & Physics

Key Responsibilities

Deliver inspiring, high-level instruction across Key Stage 3 Mathematics & Science, Key Stage 4 IGCSE Maths & Physics, and Key Stage 5 A-Level Physics and Further/Advanced Maths.

Build strong problem-solving skills, numerical literacy, and practical scientific inquiry.

Manage physics laboratory sessions with strict adherence to practical scientific safety protocols.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent recognized Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS).

A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Business, IT, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering).

Demonstrated experience teaching Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 within the British National Curriculum or international British curriculum.

Right to work in Spain.

Full safeguarding clearance and clean criminal background check (e.g., DBS/ICPC).

Desirable Criteria

Experience delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) (Physics, or Analysis & Approaches / Applications & Interpretation).

Curriculum Delivery & Pedagogy

Planning & Differentiation: Design scheme-of-work aligned, challenging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.

Subject Mastery: Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of exam board specifications (e.g., Edexcel, AQA, Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level).

Learning Environment: Establish a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behavior and academic curiosity.

2. Assessment, Tracking & Reporting

Formative & Summative Marking: Grade work regularly according to departmental policies, providing actionable feedback (e.g., WWW/EBI – What Went Well / Even Better If).

Data Tracking: Track individual and cohort progress against target grades, implementing targeted interventions for underperforming students.

Parental Engagement: Produce clear, professional written reports and attend Parents\' Evenings to discuss student progress.

3. Pastoral Care & Form Tutoring

Form Tutor Role: Act as a daily pastoral guide, monitoring attendance, uniform, well-being, and social-emotional growth.

Safeguarding: Actively enforce the school\'s Child Protection and Safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns immediately through designated channels (e.g., CPOMS).

House System: Support Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) development and engage with internal House competitions and assemblies.

Wider School Life & Professional Conduct

Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Participate in internal inset days, peer observations, and departmental reviews.

Duties: Undertake assigned break, lunch, or bus supervision duties punctually.
