 The role & your impact

Are you an experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence professional who can turn complex threat information into clear strategic insight? Then join us.

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence professional to help further mature and operate CTI as a key pillar for strategic decision-making across Novonesis. This is not a newly created capability or a greenfield role. Novonesis already has an established CTI capability, and our maturity journey is guided by the Cyber Threat Intelligence Capability Maturity Model (CTI-CMM).

You will join the Cyber Defence Centre, a growing team of security professionals working across the enterprise as advisors, analysts, engineers and responders. The team has a strong foothold in the organization, and we have the mission of protecting Novonesis’ production, data, and assets.

The role offers a high degree of ownership and autonomy. You will be expected to take responsibility for key parts of the CTI capability, assess what works well, and propose changes where you see a clear need to improve effectiveness, maturity, stakeholder value, or operational impact.

In this role, you will operate, refine, and mature the CTI capability in line with CTI-CMM, ensuring that threat intelligence informs security priorities, risk decisions, detection engineering, incident response, vulnerability management, executive briefings, and business planning.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and improving the CTI operating model, intelligence requirements, collection priorities, reporting formats.
  • Stakeholder engagement approach.
  • Producing strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products.
  • Translating geopolitical, sector-specific, criminal, and technical threat developments into actionable recommendations.
  • Ensuring intelligence is integrated into SOC operations, incident response, threat hunting, detection use cases, and cyber risk discussions.

The role combines hands-on engineering with cyber security ownership. You will use lessons learned from incidents, vulnerabilities, and exposure findings to strengthen preventive controls, improve developer guardrails, and reduce the likelihood of security issues reaching production.

You will work closely with colleagues within Cyber Security, IT, OT, risk, legal, communications, business stakeholders, and external intelligence partners. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor intelligence for audiences ranging from analysts and engineers to senior leaders.

The role is both strategic and hands-on. You will be expected to build on an existing foundation, drive maturity, challenge assumptions constructively, and ensure that CTI continues to develop as a practical and trusted decision-making capability across the organization.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Relevant education in cyber security, information technology, intelligence analysis, computer science, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a similar Cyber Threat Intelligence role, including defining intelligence requirements, producing intelligence assessments, communicating threat developments, and supporting decision-making at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
  • Experience with SOC operations, incident response, or digital forensics is required, with the ability to translate intelligence into practical improvements for detection, response, investigation, and cyber risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience advising senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships, and communicating complex threat topics in clear business language.
  • Professional English proficiency is a must.

Additional skills & interests we value:

  • Strong analytical judgment, strategic thinking, curiosity, discretion, and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
  • The ability to connect technical threat activity to business relevance, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and establish CTI as a trusted source of insight for decision-making.
  • The role requires a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and sound judgment to assess current ways of working and propose changes where they are needed.

What we offer:

After an onboarding period where you preferably are in the office, you will have the opportunity and flexibility to work from home. Your main office location will be in Hørsholm.
