frankeconsults GmbH is a specialized consultancy for data migration and data validation in ERP environments. We help companies transfer data from existing systems into new ERP systems in a structured, traceable and reliable way - often in SAP and SAP S/4HANA environments, but also in Microsoft Dynamics and other ERP systems.

We combine business process understanding with technical implementation: from the first data extract through transformation and validation to a successful go-live.

Why this role?

ERP data migration is more than moving data from A to B. It is about understanding business processes, assessing data structures carefully and building robust migration and validation logic.

As a Senior Consultant Data Management & ERP Data Migration, you will work at the intersection of data, business processes, ERP systems and client consulting.

You make sure that data is not only loaded technically, but is also correct from a business perspective, validated in a traceable way and truly usable in the target system - for processes such as finance, purchasing, logistics, sales, billing or reporting.

What you will make happen

In this role, you take responsibility for complex migration objects, data areas or workstreams.

You structure requirements, develop migration and validation logic, ensure result quality and guide clients through business and technical decisions. At the same time, you support less experienced colleagues through reviews, methodological guidance and your project knowledge.

This means you are not only involved in hands-on delivery, but also help shape how we implement data migration professionally, repeatably and at a high level of quality.

Your tasks

You will take on responsibilities such as:

• ownership of migration objects or data areas, for example customers, suppliers, materials, financial data, open items or transaction data
• analyzing data structures in source and target systems
• structuring business requirements together with clients and specialist departments
• preparing and running workshops for requirements gathering, data clarification and validation
• developing migration logic, transformations and validation rules, especially with SQL
• business and technical quality assurance of migration results
• error analysis, plausibility checks and alignment on corrective actions
• documenting rules, assumptions, decisions and results
• providing business guidance to Junior Consultants and reviewing work results
• actively further developing our methods, templates, standards and internal tools

What you bring

Must-haves

You are a good fit for us if you:

• have several years of experience in ERP data migration, data management, data quality or data-driven transformation projects
• have very strong SQL skills and can independently implement data analyses, transformations and validations
• understand ERP processes and their data structures, for example in finance, purchasing, logistics or sales
• can clarify requirements with specialist departments and clients in a structured way
• explain complex data and process questions clearly
• can assess migration results from both a business and technical perspective
• work independently while enjoying sharing knowledge within a team
• take ownership of quality, structure and traceability

Nice-to-haves

Helpful, but not required:

• experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments
• experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP systems
• knowledge of PowerQuery
• experience with PowerShell 7
• basic knowledge of Git and GitHub
• experience providing professional guidance to colleagues
• experience with data validation, cutover preparation or migration test cycles
