Job Summary: The Electronics Technician III serves as a senior technician and subject matter expert. This role leads complex diagnostics, depot level repairs, procedure development, and technician mentorship. EMT III personnel coordinate with customers and management to ensure operational readiness.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities:* Lead advanced troubleshooting and depot‑level repairs

  • Serve as SME for assigned systems
  • Train and mentor EMT I and II technicians
  • Develop, refine, and enforce maintenance procedures
  • Manage workload priorities and support quality assurance
  • Coordinate with customers, leadership, and logistics personnel
  • Maintain accountability for high‑value government equipment
  • Interpret engineering changes, technical manuals, and system updates
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance readiness and reduce cost
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications: Education & Experience:* High school diploma or GED required

  • Associate degree, advanced military electronics training, or relevant technical certifications preferred
  • 5–8+ years of electronics maintenance experience, with additional experience preferred for highly specialized systems

Certification:* Basic Electronic Technical Certificate

Preferred Knowledge:* Lead electronics maintenance teams, including assigning work, training other technicians, and doing scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and Government-Furnished Property (GFP).

  • Plan maintenance so it does not interfere with training exercises or testing events.
  • Record all maintenance activities in real time in the Management Information System (MIS).
  • Perform integration and testing on TADSS to confirm proper operation, including interoperability checks
  • Monitor hardware baselines and rolled back to previous versions when updates fail
  • Manage configuration control for all TADSS and GFP maintenance and installed modification/upgrade kits per manufacturer instructions.
  • Provide maintenance instructions and installed modification/upgrade kits according to manufacturer guidance.
