Job Summary

Are you passionate about power electronics, simulation, and the technologies powering the next generation of electric vehicles?

Join Flex's Automotive Power Electronics team in Stuttgart and contribute to the development of advanced onboard chargers (OBC), DC/DC converters, and EMI solutions used in leading global automotive programs.

You will work alongside experienced engineers in an international environment and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge simulation, modeling, and converter technologies.

What a typical day looks like:

Drive the next generation of reusable power electronics building blocks by:

  • Creating generic modeling environments in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Evaluating modulation strategies for advanced power converter topologies
  • Supporting the development of auxiliary gate-driver power supplies
  • Evaluating resonant converter concepts and integrated PCB transformer solutions
  • Exploring active EMC reduction approaches and filter concepts

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Enrolled in a master’s program (or advanced bachelor's program) in: Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Interest in power electronics and electric mobility
  • Initial experience with one of the following: MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE simulation, Programming (Python, or similar)
  • Structured and analytical way of working
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Nice to have knowledge of DC/DC converters, resonant converters, or onboard chargers. Understanding control theory, modulation methods, or EMI fundamentals.
