Job description

The European Proposals and Coordination Unit at Eurecat is seeking a European Programmes Manager with experience in securing European funding for R&D projects, preparing competitive proposals, and monitoring and leading coordinated European projects.

The selected candidate will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities within European programmes, particularly Horizon Europe, leading proposal preparation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and representing Eurecat within the European innovation and research ecosystem.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and analyse funding opportunities within European R&D programmes, particularly Horizon Europe, that are aligned with the technologies, products, and services developed by Eurecat.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of technical proposals for European funding calls, including drafting key proposal sections such as Excellence, Impact, and Implementation; adapt and tailor proposal messaging and language to maximise competitiveness and alignment with the objectives of each call.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary technical and management teams, both within and outside the organisation, to ensure alignment, compliance with deadlines, and the quality of deliverables.
  • Ensure that submitted proposals comply with the requirements established by the European Commission and are aligned with Eurecat’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor the implementation of funded projects, ensuring the achievement of objectives, compliance with deadlines, and delivery of expected results.
  • Act as the primary internal and external point of contact regarding European R&D programmes.
  • Attend meetings, events, and conferences and represent Eurecat in its interactions with European institutions, industry associations, technology platforms, innovation networks, and other relevant stakeholders associated with managed European projects, promoting networking opportunities and collaboration with partners and key actors.
  • Actively participate in European working groups, platforms, and associations, contributing to the definition of programmes, initiatives, and future funding priorities and topics. Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, en gineering degree, or equivalent higher education qualification
  • Specialized training in European programmes and/or European project management.

Professional experience

  • At least three years of experience in the preparation of European proposals under the Horizon Europe programme, as well as in the management of European projects.
  • Active participation in European platforms, associations, and organisations.
  • Previous experience in research, development, and innovation projects.

Languages

  • Full professional proficiency in English, with a minimum level of C2.

Availability

  • Willingness to travel between Eurecat’s different sites and across Europe.
