Job Summary

As part of this role, the job holder will be a member of the R&D Component Systems group at Kiefernweg. Together with the Pilot Plant team, they will be responsible for processing orders and performing tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the Pilot Plant. This includes the timely and high-quality execution of sample orders, where necessary in independent consultation with colleagues or requesters. A particular focus will be on the production and initial sampling of rubber compounds, as well as raw material management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Rubber Compounds

Production of rubber compounds in the laboratory mixer or on the laboratory mill in the Pilot Plant, including preparation and follow-up activities

Conducting trials to evaluate alternative mixing approaches

Production of standard test specimens for initial characterization

Completion reporting of orders and handover of samples

Raw Material Management

Organization of the raw material warehouse, as well as ensuring the availability, procurement, and labeling of standard raw materials from the plant

Storage and management of experimental raw materials provided by customers

Organization of the disposal of raw materials and raw material waste from the Pilot Plant warehouses in collaboration with HSE, including involvement of colleagues, e.g. Material Development, to provide the required documentation

Organization of the pallet storage area in the Pilot Plant

Organization of the calibration of relevant measuring equipment in the Pilot Plant

Production of Samples for New Articles and Required Test Specimens

Independent planning and execution of sample orders

Production or processing of materials in accordance with the applicable work instructions, manufacturing procedures and instructions, or material information

Process optimization through the application of observations and findings from sampling activities or feedback from requesters

Active participation in development projects and West project groups

Education

Completed vocational training in the chemical field or a similar qualification

Work Experience

3-5 years of experience in the production and processing of rubber materials

Experience working in accordance with GMP principles

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good knowledge of MS Office and Advise

Knowledge of SAP and Eclipse

Good English & fluent German language skills

Careful and clean working style

Initiative

Team player

Physical Requirements

Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.

Pay Transparency:

The annual base salary range for this position is €45,496.00 - €57,904.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.

This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
