Sol El Luna is a premium Spanish restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam, offering authentic Spanish cuisine, carefully selected wines, handcrafted cocktails, and exceptional hospitality. We are looking for an experienced Front of House Shift Leader who can lead the service team, ensure smooth daily operations, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations throughout the shift.
  • Welcome guests and provide warm, professional hospitality.
  • Coordinate service between the dining room, bar, and kitchen.
  • Support, coach, and motivate servers, runners, and bartenders.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure company standards are consistently met.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the restaurant.
  • Monitor reservations, table turnover, and guest flow.
  • Support inventory checks and communicate operational issues to management.
  • Lead by example and create a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Shift Leader, Supervisor, Team Leader, or Assistant Restaurant Manager.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during busy service.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Spanish language is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, wines, beers, and beverage service is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Spanish cuisine and Spanish wines is an advantage.
  • Experience in fine dining or upscale casual dining is highly preferred.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
