At Wurst & Schnitzelhaus Zuidas (WuSH), we’re looking for an Assistant Manager who enjoys taking responsibility, working with people, and helping create a great experience for both guests and colleagues.

Your responsibilities

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and take an active role in the daily operation of the restaurant.

You will:

• Welcome and serve guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations.
• Lead by example and support the service and bar team during shifts.
• Manage shifts independently when required.
• Ensure smooth communication and coordination between the kitchen and front of house.
• Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and find solutions when needed.
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Assist with scheduling and daily staff organisation.
• Support stock control and ordering of bar and restaurant supplies.
• Take initiative and contribute ideas to improve workflow, team performance, and the guest experience.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone with the right combination of leadership, hospitality, and ownership, not just years of experience.

You:

• Have previous hospitality experience.
• Supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Enjoy working with people and being part of the operation.
• Lead by example and are comfortable taking responsibility.
• Stay calm and solution-oriented when things get busy.
• Are organised, reliable, and proactive.
• Communicate clearly and confidently in English.
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Are available to work evenings and weekends.
• Are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
• Have an SVH certification or are willing to obtain it.
