We lead the way in Rolling Stock, Rail Automation & Electrification, Turnkey Systems, Intelligent Traffic Systems, and comprehensive Related Services. Through digitalization, we empower operators worldwide to create intelligent infrastructure, enhance passenger experience, and ensure unparalleled availability.

Join us in transforming Mobility Management, Turnkey Projects, Electrification, Mainline & Urban Transport, and Customer Services. If you're ready to make a real impact on a more connected and sustainable future, your journey starts here. Your new area of responsibility:* Your path will lead you to the central Operational Excellence department for production planning in the field of train maintenance. For our global projects, we dimension maintenance facilities and ensure efficient processes in order to secure our competitiveness.

  • Shape the future of our Maintenance Production System — develop smart concepts, optimize processes, and drive digital transformation from the shopfloor to executive management.
  • As part of an international team, you will work on strategic projects that influence maintenance operations across Europe and beyond. You will combine industrial engineering, operational excellence, data-driven decision-making and digital innovation to create sustainable competitive advantages for Siemens Mobility.

Your responsibilities:* In your new role, you will develop a holistic and competitive maintenance concept. In doing so, you will take customer requirements, contractual obligations, and other project-specific constraints into account.

  • Based on this concept, you will calculate production capacities, critical resources, and staffing requirements.
  • During detailed planning, you will develop optimized workflows that serve as the basis for subsequent operations.
  • During ongoing operations, you will act as the link between the shopfloor and management, independently identifying potential for efficiency improvements, deriving improvement concepts, and driving their implementation.
  • You will act as an internal consultant for international maintenance projects, working closely with plant management, operational teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • As part of R&D projects, you will develop methods and digital solutions to optimize our planning processes and operational workflows in our maintenance facilities.
  • You will actively contribute to the digital transformation of maintenance operations by applying analytics, automation, simulation, AI-based approaches and modern digital tools.
  • You will challenge established practices, solve complex operational problems and drive improvements from concept development through successful implementation.

Your talents and experience:* You have completed a technical degree in engineering or natural sciences with above-average results, or hold an equivalent qualification. A Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or a related field is preferred.

  • You bring several years of professional experience in industrial engineering, factory planning, production planning, operations consulting, manufacturing excellence, process optimization or a comparable role.
  • Practical experience in production or maintenance is an advantage.
  • Experience with process simulation, data analytics, optimization methods or digital planning tools is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of Python, Power BI, SQL or similar analytical tools is an advantage.
  • You are willing and curious to try out new technologies yourself and to validate the benefits of new concepts through prototypes.
  • You enjoy solving complex operational challenges, challenging the status quo and developing innovative approaches beyond established standards.
  • You are not satisfied with identifying problems — you take ownership and drive solutions through implementation.
  • Personally, you stand out through analytical thinking, quick comprehension, an independent working style, and a high level of motivation and commitment.
  • Occasional willingness to travel, strong presentation skills, and fluent German and English language skills round off your profile.

What we offer:* You will work in a dynamic environment characterized by diverse opportunities for shaping ideas, personal development, and a high degree of personal responsibility.

  • With us, you have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model. This means that you can work remotely for a certain proportion of your working time. This has been officially regulated through a company agreement.
  • We are a global company and active on all five continents. We work for customers all over the world in international projects. That is why inclusion is of the utmost importance in our teams, and we promote diversity in all its dimensions.
  • We are pioneers of mobility. With us, you actively contribute to the mobility transition and climate protection in a future-oriented market, because our transport solutions reduce CO₂ emissions around the world.
  • You will work in a global network supporting projects across Europe and other international markets.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to build an international career within Siemens Mobility while shaping the future of maintenance operations through innovation and digital transformation.
