As an Element Designer, you will challenge the norms while working across a broad range of themes and concepts, helping to create the building blocks of imagination. Core Responsibilities

As an Element Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing new LEGO elements that align with the LEGO brand's creative vision. You will combine creativity with engineering principles to ensure that the mechanical and functional specifications of LEGO products meet the highest standards while utilizing 3D design tools to bring ideas to life.

You will join a team dedicated to creating LEGO elements and LEGO Minifigure parts, including hair, custom bodies, accessories, special characters and other innovative elements. In this role, you will help deliver outstanding, high-quality elements that inspire creative play.

Specifically, you will:

• Translate 2D materials into 3D elements
• Create sketches, digital sculpts and 3D prototypes, utilizing software to develop virtual concepts and evaluate their feasibility
• Apply engineering principles to ensure designs meet mechanical, functional and manufacturing requirements
• Work closely with engineers, Model Design teams, Graphic Designers, Concept Designers and other cross-functional partners
• Support the development and refinement of LEGO® prototypes through design iterations, testing and evaluation.
• Help drive concept element development
• Create design documentation.

As part of Element Design, you will join a diverse, international team that plays a pivotal role in the development of new LEGO® bricks. Working at the intersection of design for aesthetics, design for play and design for manufacturing, the department delivers key innovation and is responsible for more than 350 new LEGO® elements every year.

We imagine that you:

• Hold a degree within design, industrial design or a related design discipline
• Have experience with 3D software such as ZBrush, Freeform, Rhino or NX, as well as Photoshop
• Have strong skills in hand sketching, sculpting and character design. Experience with physical modelling and designing from a child's perspective is an advantage
• Have an understanding of technical production and manufacturing processes, including moulding, which would be considered a plus
• Are an excellent communicator with strong written and spoken English
• Enjoy collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and balancing creativity with technical requirements.
