What we look for?
We are currently looking for a DevOps Toolchain Engineer to join a strategic team responsible for designing, operating, and evolving enterprise DevOps capabilities across CI/CD, source control, deployment orchestration, security scanning, artifact management, infrastructure as code, and policy enforcement.
A highly collaborative engineer with a strong software engineering background and hands-on experience administering and evolving enterprise DevOps platforms. You will work closely with developers, platform teams, security, audit, risk, and compliance stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and auditable DevOps services that improve both developer experience and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, operate, and continuously improve enterprise DevOps toolchain capabilities.
- Administer and support platforms including source control, CI/CD, build agents, deployment tooling, artifact repositories, and security-scanning tools.
- Provide third-line support for DevOps platforms and related services, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Develop policy-as-code services that evaluate compliance evidence and enable automated release governance decisions.
- Build and maintain modern software solutions using C#/.NET, REST APIs, serverless architectures, and event-driven patterns.
- Drive automation, resilience, reliability, and continuous delivery practices across the toolchain ecosystem.
- Integrate and govern AI-assisted engineering capabilities aligned with enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, audit, and compliance teams to design practical and trusted solutions.
- Ensure security, risk, compliance, and audit requirements are incorporated from the beginning of every solution.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Strong software development experience with C# / .NET (preferably .NET 8+).
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise Cloud, and CI/CD platforms.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software delivery.
- Experience building and supporting REST APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions.
- Practical experience with Azure Functions, serverless architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code operating models.
- Experience with build agents, deployment pipelines, approvals, governance, and release traceability.
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory/XRay, Checkmarx, or similar solutions.
- Experience working in regulated environments with governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) / Rego and policy-as-code frameworks.
- Knowledge of Octopus Deploy or similar deployment orchestration tools.
- Experience with Azure services such as Key Vault, Managed Identities, RBAC, App Services, and Function Apps.
- Background in governance, risk, compliance, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience applying resilience patterns such as retry, backoff, and fault tolerance.
- Familiarity with BDD, Gherkin, or Reqnroll.
- Experience working with DevContainers or standardized development environments.
- Experience implementing governed AI-assisted software engineering capabilities.
