We are building a network of 1,000 fast-charging stations across Europe, and we are looking for a Senior Project Development Manager to help us get there.Together with 400+ colleagues from over 40 nationalities, spread across 10 countries, we drive change in the energy transition. What sets us apart is our focus on reliability, sustainability and clean energy. We have been awarded “Best Charging Network” in the UK, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands, further establishing Fastned as a leading player in the field. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact!

We stand out from other charge point operators with our high-power charging, drive-through model, and commitment to super-reliable infrastructure. Our stations provide fast, seamless charging experiences, allowing drivers to charge their EVs in minutes, not hours. As a leading provider of ultra-fast charging, we're focused on delivering exceptional service and innovation to accelerate the transition to electric mobility - and it all starts with securing the best locations.

Role

To hit the goal of 1000 stations, we will need to successfully win sites and tenders across Europe. The Projects & Excellence team of Fastned’s Network Development is responsible for delivering our growth efficiently and effectively.

As a Senior Project Development Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects that support Fastned’s site expansion and network development across Europe. You will translate strategic objectives, market insights and operational learnings into clear project plans, milestones and deliverables, and coordinate their execution across relevant teams and countries. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve the processes, diagnose issues, design scalable solutions, and implement ways of working that enable Network Development to scale effectively.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Projects Development Manager, you will join the international Projects & Excellence team, part of the Network Development department.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and executing cross department projects that impact Fastned’s expansion and tender development
  • Driving continuous improvement across markets: spotting opportunities to optimise or scale processes, and turning them into clear plans, playbooks and guides teams can use
  • Acting as a key liaison between the Network Development team and other business units to get new ways of working adopted
  • Conducting financial and/or market analyses and translating insights into actionable strategies and concrete plans, coordinating their rollout across relevant teams and countries
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team, particularly in the context of consolidating complex findings into clear recommendations.

You will report to the ND Projects & Excellence Lead and collaborate closely with other teams across Fastned. You will get the unique chance to become part of our future-driven industry, where you can make a real impact! As a member of the Fastned-family we want you to ‘think like a founder’. We value your input, we expect you to think critically and take ownership.

Electric mobility is new territory for you? Worry not! As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our innovative and rapidly growing company!

Who we are looking for

You bring along extensive experience in high growth environments and a deep affinity with strategy and business processes. You excel in managing complex projects and have knowledge in the field of sustainability and/or public tendering. You are a strategic thinker and you manage to motivate the people around you to deliver for success. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in project development, business development, strategy, programme management, business transformation, operational excellence or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies, taking complex initiatives from problem definition through implementation, stakeholder alignment and measurable results
  • Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, business transformation or ways-of-working initiatives is a strong advantage, particularly in a high-growth or international environment.
  • Plus points for previous experience in high growth companies or e-mobility
  • A strong commercial and problem-solving mindset
  • A sharp analytical mind - you enjoy digging into complex, multi-market problems to understand what actually drives a result, and know how to turn that into a recommendation that sticks
  • Clear and structured communicator, both in writing and in person - you know how to tailor your message to your audience
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and willingness to dive into both strategy and execution.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Open for regular travel within Europe
  • Highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
