Business Functional Specialist for Client prospector squad

Join our Customer 360 squad at Markets Business Technology, where we're building an AI-enabled platform that gives Markets bankers a unified view of their clients. You will help translate business needs into functional requirements whilst contributing to a solution that transforms how bankers work with their clients.

What you will be doing

As a Business Functional Specialist, you'll work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders and engineers to shape requirements and ensure our AI-enabled Customer 360 platform meets real business needs. Your analysis and testing work will directly support Markets bankers in delivering better client experiences.

• Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Analyse business processes to identify automation and improvement opportunities
• Design and execute test scenarios for new features and platform enhancements
• Collaborate with engineers to clarify requirements and validate delivered functionality
• Document business processes, data flows and solution behaviour
• Support user adoption activities for Markets bankers using the platform Contribute to backlog refinement by identifying dependencies and risks

About you

• 2-5 years of experience as Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, QA Analyst or similar
• Strong analytical skills for breaking down complex problems into actionable components
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into user stories
• Understanding of agile delivery teams and software development lifecycles
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams
• Interest in data, AI-powered products and digital platforms
• Structured, curious approach with ability to take initiative
• Clear communication skills in English, both written and spoken Collaborative mindset whilst taking ownership of deliverables

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, APIs, testing complex workflows, AI-powered products, or financial markets knowledge would be valuable additions to your profile.
