The Opportunity:
Executes day-to-day lab operations & support objectives at customer facilities, following a varied set of procedures, focused on minimizing laboratory workflow interruptions. Problems and issues are typically less concrete and frequently changing, and are solved by applying experience from comparable situations in the past and/or selecting solutions within known alternatives. Tasks include end-to-end management of gas cylinders and liquid tanks, dry ice, and instrument buffers, solvents and liquid nitrogen, and supporting quality control workflows by executing sampling. Collects, documents, and organizes data and observations. Communicates activity records, service level metrics and other information requiring explanation or interpretation to team members, supervisors or customers.QC Support Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QC Support Technician to provide essential laboratory support services at our client's site in Nijmegen. This role is critical in ensuring Quality Control (QC) laboratories operate efficiently, allowing QC analysts and scientists to focus on analytical testing and quality-related activities.
The successful candidate will support a wide range of laboratory operations, including environmental monitoring, equipment maintenance activities, laboratory housekeeping, waste management, and safety inspections. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a regulated laboratory environment and contributing to high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring sampling activities.
- Prepare laboratory cleaning solutions and media plates.
- Clean and maintain Laminar Air Flow (LAF) cabinets.
- Perform pH meter calibration activities.
- Carry out glassware washing and preparation activities.
- Support laboratory housekeeping, organization, and readiness initiatives.
- Manage laboratory waste collection, handling, and disposal activities.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, including eyewash stations and emergency showers.
- Assist with inventory, material movement, and general laboratory support tasks.
- Provide cross-functional support to other departments as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance laboratory efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum secondary education qualification
- Experience working within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment is advantageous.
- Previous laboratory support, scientific, or operational experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Experience
- Good understanding of laboratory processes and workflows.
- Knowledge of GxP compliance requirements within a laboratory environment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe laboratory working practices.
- Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
- Understanding of customer service principles, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining documentation compliance.
- Experience working to GMP standards is preferred.

This role is based within a laboratory and operational support environment and may involve:
- Manual handling activities.
- Waste handling and disposal.
- Working with laboratory equipment and materials.
- Driving a site delivery vehicle.
- Working within a small warehouse or storage facility.
- Working at height using approved mobile safety step ladders.
