Senior Chemist R&D (m/f/d)

At CREDOXYS we develop high-quality specialty chemicals for the present and next generation of organic displays (OLED) and organic solar cells (OPV) at our facility in Dresden. Our materials are not only made for use in mobile phone displays or OLED-TVs, but they are also key enablers of tomorrow’s technology. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic senior chemist, contributing their experience in synthetic chemistry and leadership to our company at the earliest possible date.

Your responsibilities

• As a Senior Chemist, you will design novel target molecules with a strong focus on structure-property relationships
• You will plan and execute chemical syntheses in the laboratory while mentoring and supervising junior chemists
• You will collaborate closely with and report to the Head of Chemistry
• You will coordinate closely with our Physics department and contribute to the preparation of patent applications
• Together with the team, you will support the sampling process for our customers
• You will apply your chemical expertise to advance our process development efforts and scale up batch sizes
• You will document your findings and communicate your progress clearly within the team

Your profile

• Chemistry degree and a PhD with a focus on synthetic organic or organometallic chemistry, total synthesis and/or heterocyclic chemistry
• At least two years of verifiable leadership experience managing a laboratory team
• Ready to familiarize yourself with new topics
• Open personality and team player
• Eager to work on changing tasks and challenges in a growing start-up environment
• Fluent English, willingness to learn German
