Product Owner - GenAI Use Case Acceleration

Join Danske Bank at a pivotal moment as we drive the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) across the Group. We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Product Owner to lead one of our GenAI Use Case Implementation Squads. You will be one of five Product Owners heading squads with identical composition and a shared purpose, working closely together to deliver high‑impact GenAI use cases.

In this role, you will work with business domains and a cross‑functional team to drive GenAI use cases from idea to secure, compliant and scalable production solutions. By developing and deploying GenAI use cases swiftly and effectively, the bank can significantly enhance end‑user experiences, create business value and streamline internal processes.

You will head up a 5‑10 person full‑stack squad and collaborate closely with the management team to ensure deliveries align with our vision and strategic goals.

Your responsibilities

As our GenAI use case implementation Product Owner, you will:

• Drive GenAI use cases from discovery to production in close collaboration with relevant business domains, ensuring they deliver tangible value for our customers, business units and the bank as a whole.
• Lead a 5‑10 person cross‑functional squad of full‑stack developers, data engineers, data scientists and other specialists to design, develop and deploy GenAI solutions.
• Ensure that the bank’s architecture principles, engineering standards and compliance measures are applied consistently across your use cases.
• Translate needs and priorities into clear goals, detailed requirements and actionable user stories for your squad.
• Communicate clearly with teams and stakeholders and manage the product backlog in alignment with agreed priorities.
• Collaborate within the Use Case Acceleration Cluster, ensuring that learnings, patterns and best practices are captured, shared and applied across the Cluster and to the rest of the bank.
• Work closely with the four other Product Owners leading the parallel squads to coordinate deliveries, align ways of working and actively drive learning transfer across all squads.
• Engage with users and stakeholders to understand needs, validate solutions and continuously refine and improve the products you deliver. Support your squad by removing impediments and creating the conditions for high‑quality, timely deliveries in a fast‑moving environment

Role requirements

We expect you to have:

• Practical experience as a Product Owner or in similar roles driving end‑user technology solutions, preferably within a large corporate setting.
• Hands‑on experience building or delivering AI or advanced analytics solutions, ideally including GenAI use cases.
• Proven experience working in or with physically distributed squads, collaborating effectively across locations and different working styles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, enabling you to work with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to handle large‑scale, complex problem solving and to make informed decisions in a fast‑moving environment.
• A self‑motivating and proactive mindset with an ambition to explore new possibilities with GenAI, while operating safely within a regulated environment.
• A track record of close collaboration with peer Product Owners or similar roles, including sharing learnings and aligning on common goals.
• A relevant degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is an advantage, but equivalent practical experience is also valued. You are comfortable working in English in a multicultural environment.
