Join TDC NET and help us build the software that brings data and machine learning to life.

At TDC NET, we are leaders in Denmark's digital infrastructure, dedicated to technical excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Our AI & Digital Innovation team ships production applications where software engineering, data, and ML come together to create real value for the organization.

About the job

You will be joining a cross-functional product team building applications where data and ML are core to the user experience: think decision-support tools, operational dashboards, and intelligent internal products. Your primary role is software engineering, but the systems you build are not plain software: they connect to data pipelines, surface ML model outputs, and create meaningful interfaces for users who rely on data to make decisions.

You'll work alongside data engineers, ML engineers, and a platform team, turning data assets and model capabilities into polished, reliable applications. You don't need to be an ML researcher but you should understand how data flows, how models get integrated, and how to build software that makes both accessible and genuinely useful.

This is a role for someone early in their career who has solid software foundations and is motivated by about the intersection of engineering, data, and applied ML. You'll grow steadily in a team that values curiosity, good code, and shipping things that matter.

What You will Be Doing with us

You will help build the software layer that makes data and ML meaningful for end users:

  • Design and build production-grade software applications that integrate data pipelines and ML components.
  • Develop clean APIs and services that expose data and ML capabilities to internal users.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure smooth integration between the data layer and application layer.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, and application monitoring.
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews, contributing to shared engineering standards.
  • Iterate on prototypes and evolve them into reliable, well-tested, maintainable products.

“AI and data are moving faster than most companies can keep up with. The software wrapped around them is what decides whether that speed becomes something real. Here, we focus on building AI software that's actually usable: reliable, scalable, and easy for people to trust” says Jesper Wass, Director of Data & AI Engineering

About you

Who we are looking for

Must-haves:

  • Collaborative team player, interested in learning and sharing knowledge.
  • 1–3 years of experience building and shipping data-based software applications in production.
  • Extensive Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals (testing, CI/CD, code review).
  • Experience building APIs or backend services that interface with data or external systems.
  • Understanding of application architecture and how to design maintainable, scalable systems.
  • Some hands-on exposure to working with data — databases, data pipelines, or ML model outputs.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience integrating ML models into software applications.
  • Familiarity with data tools such as Dagster, Snowflake, or dbt.
  • Cloud experience — Azure preferred.
  • Understanding of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes basics).
  • Exposure to LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows.

Why you'll enjoy working with us

  • Be part of a supportive, creative, and collaborative team environment.
  • Build real products that make a tangible impact on TDC NET's data-driven operations.
  • Work at the intersection of software engineering, data, and ML — a rare and growing skill set.
  • Grow alongside experienced engineers across platform, data, and AI disciplines.
  • Contribute to Denmark's digital infrastructure and innovation.
