Eurovision Services is looking for a highly motivated Project Leader to join our Operations team in Madrid.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of broadcast projects for major live events, working with international customers, partners and multidisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding service delivery and an exceptional customer experience.
ABOUT THE OPERATIONS TEAM
The Operations team delivers broadcast and media services for major live events around the world. Acting as the primary point of contact for our customers, the team coordinates the delivery of transmission and media solutions in close collaboration with internal teams, partners and suppliers, ensuring operational excellence from planning through execution
YOUR MISSION
As a Project Leader, you will take ownership of assigned broadcast projects from handover through final delivery, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and according to customer expectations.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, budgets and risks, and serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring an outstanding customer experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take ownership of assigned projects, defining delivery scope, resource requirements and project plans.
- Develop project timelines and milestones, ensuring all activities are completed on schedule.
- Identify the required competencies and coordinate internal resources accordingly.
- Apply Eurovision Services' project management methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, proactively managing risks, issues and mitigation plans.
- Prepare regular project status updates for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives and cost efficiency are achieved.
- Coordinate seamless handovers to operational teams, including Booking, EVC and other delivery functions.
- Brief project teams on operational procedures, mission policies and expense regulations.
- Support customers during service activation, ensuring successful on-site delivery.
- Monitor event execution, coordinating corrective actions whenever required.
- Ensure proper project closure, including operational, logistical and financial activities.
- Lead post-event debriefs and contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and methodologies.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in the broadcast industry
- Proven project management experience, preferably in broadcast, media or live event environment
- Experience in venue management, booking or sports event production is considered a strong advantage
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of the broadcast, telecommunications and IT industries
- General understanding of broadcast and transmission technologies, including satellite, fibre and IP-based solutions
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage project budgets effectively
- Experience in customer relationship management and delivering excellent customer service
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong leadership, coordination and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
- Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to work effectively in dynamic, international environments.
- Experience working with geographically distributed and multicultural teams.
Languages
- Professional proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Spanish, French or any other European language is considered an advantage.
