Job Introduction
Help us to build a stronger, more sustainable and competitive supply chain: At Vidrala, we are looking for a Supplier Management & Development Specialist to join our Corporate Procurement team.
You will lead the implementation of Vidrala's Supplier Management & Development (SM&D) model across your assigned categories at Group level, driving a strategic and integrated approach that brings together quality, sustainability, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement.
Working within the Procurement function, you will help shape supplier development priorities aligned with category and business strategies, while building long-term partnerships with suppliers that contribute to sustainable growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction across the Group.
The Challenge
Based in Llodio and reporting to the Head of Supplier Management & Development, you will operate in an international environment, providing functional leadership for your assigned categories across the Group and coordinating with local teams from different Business Units to ensure a consistent and effective supplier management approach.
Through this role, you will lead initiatives that have a direct impact on the competitiveness, resilience and sustainability of our supply chain.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Defining, implementing and continuously improving Vidrala's Supplier Management & Development (SM&D) model across assigned categories at Group level.
- Defining and deploying supplier development strategies aligned with Procurement priorities and business objectives.
- Leading supplier quality management across your assigned categories, including supplier and product homologation, IMS, process and product audits, non-conformity management and development plans, while maintaining an up-to-date panel of approved suppliers to develop them as strategic partners and drive long-term value creation.
- Developing suppliers as strategic business partners by driving qualification, auditing, continuous improvement and long-term value creation initiatives that strengthen competitiveness, resilience and operational excellence.
- Managing supplier-related risks and performance across quality, sustainability, compliance and business continuity, while contributing to the transformation and digitalisation of the function.
- Supporting transformation, digitalisation and standardisation initiatives while monitoring supplier performance through KPIs, reporting and governance processes.
Key Requirements & Competencies:
- Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical or a related technical discipline).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in supplier management and development, supplier quality or supplier auditing within an industrial environment.
- Experience in supplier qualification, auditing, non-conformity management and continuous improvement processes.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience applying a process-based approach to supplier management, performance monitoring and continuous improvement activities.
- Professional level of English. Portuguese would be considered an advantage.
- Availability to travel.
