Our Systems & Applications (S&A) team of the Product Line "In-Vehicle Networking" (PL-IVN) forms the interface between research and development of innovative architectures and system technologies in the field of vehicle connectivity. The latest products are developed in close cooperation with our customers. Creativity is our strength, customer satisfaction our mission. The location of this vacancy is Hamburg, Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible to contribute and drive next generation CAN/LIN products definitions and evaluations incl. 48V robustness from systems engineering perspective
  • Create evaluation setups, perform and document robustness, bench-, and network evaluations
  • Activity alignment within own functional team and Design / Test Engineering / Marketing teams
  • Create customer documentation e.g., application notes, data sheets, technical presentations
  • Understand and support automotive customer applications, deriving product requirements
  • Drive customer support-related investigations and recommendations on system level
  • Work cross-site, cross-cultural, and in cross-functional teams
  • Contribution to functional group improvement activities

Required and desired skills and experience

  • Knowledge of Automotive semiconductor market, Automotive electronics and applications
  • Proven system knowledge on CAN/LIN in-vehicle communication protocols and networks
  • Good and applied knowledge of electrical measurement techniques and product evaluation
  • Eagerness and passion to work in Automotive context
  • Experiences in dealing with customers on technical level
  • HW / SW / Embedded Systems / Microcontroller experience
  • Programming skills in Python, C, or C++

Your education and personality

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing; English, German of advantage
  • Show initiative, creativity, flexibility, and drive for results
  • Inspired by working in a dynamic and international team

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
