About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) to develop, maintain, and scale production-grade optimization solutions. This role requires a solid foundation in optimization, analytics, statistics, and machine learning, along with the ability to build robust, production-ready data science solutions in a cloud environment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Python developer who writes clean, modular, and maintainable code, possesses strong SQL skills, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing optimization models by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing scalable solutions.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain production-grade optimization and machine learning solutions in a cloud environment.
- Build and improve data preparation, transformation, and aggregation pipelines while integrating new data sources to enrich model performance.
- Analyze model outputs and communicate insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Product Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Implement and support MLOps best practices, including deployment, monitoring, automation, and model lifecycle management.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and create visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure solution reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through continuous monitoring and performance improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Discrete Optimization, including Linear Programming (LP), Integer Programming (IP), and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP).
- Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advanced Python programming skills with experience writing clean, modular, testable, and production-ready code.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building scalable data wrangling, transformation, and aggregation pipelines.
- Familiarity with dbt for data transformation workflows.
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced, and evolving business environments.
