Houseman – The Dylan Amsterdam

We are looking for a Houseman for the public areas of The Dylan, a 5-star hotel in Amsterdam.

We offer a pleasant working environment in one of the most luxurious hotels in Amsterdam. You will be the shining star of the public spaces in this beautiful historic building.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our day cleaning team (7.6 hours per shift). Start time is 07:00 in the morning.

Your responsibilities

Front of house

• Bar, Brasserie, Restaurant, corridors (mainly floors)
• Public toilets

Back of house

• Kitchen and canteen corridors (mainly floors)
• Staff toilets

General

• Distributing linen to the relevant floors

We are looking for a trustworthy person who enjoys cleaning and likes to work independently in a hotel/restaurant environment. We provide practical, professional equipment so you can do the job properly. You'll be in contact with the HSK manager whenever needed.

What Check in Cleaning offers you

• A first contract of 7 months, including a probation period of 1 month
• A second contract of 7 months, or a permanent contract — to be determined by the company based on performance and business needs
• A possible third contract of 5 months, or a permanent contract

Hourly rates as of 01/01/2026 (gross):

• 1 year of experience: €15.52
• 2 years of experience: €16.08
• 3 years of experience: €16.55
• 4 years of experience: €17.05
• 8% holiday allowance on top of your salary
• 26 paid holiday days per year (full-time basis), or 10% of worked hours if you work part-time
• End-of-year allowance of 5% of your gross salary once you've been employed for more than 6 months
• Salary paid every 4 weeks (13 salaries per year)
• Pension contributions (10%) from your very first day of work
• A bonus day off on your birthday, so you can really enjoy it
• A direct employment contract with us — not via a work/temp agency or the hotel itself
• Better working conditions and higher hourly rates thanks to our CAO (collective labour agreement)

Job requirements

• You live within a 30 km radius of Amsterdam
• You are flexible with workdays and hours
• Non-EU citizens: a valid work permit for the Netherlands is required (please note: we are unable to assist with visa or housing arrangements)
