Our Dedicated Supply Chain (DSC) business unit is looking for a Business Development Manager (M/F/D) to accelerate the growth of our DSC activities.

  • Location: 46282 Dorsten, Germany
  • Start date: as soon as possible

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively develop new high-value business opportunities in contract logistics and dedicated transport, focusing on complex, international, multi-service projects
  • Promote XPO’s offering by addressing customer requirements for tailor-made logistics solutions: reliability, traceability, on-time delivery, and service quality
  • Drive and sell Dedicated Transport & Supply Chain solutions, including dedicated transport, multi-site distribution, seasonal flow management, and customized logistics
  • Identify and analyze market trends to anticipate customer needs and propose innovative solutions
  • Support clients throughout their projects, coordinating with technical and project teams to design appropriate solutions
  • Negotiate strategic contracts with key clients, ensuring compliance with international quality and governance standards
  • Oversee full project lifecycle, from pre-sales to operational implementation, including performance KPI management

What You Need to Succeed at XPO

  • Higher education degree, with a proven and significant experience in selling transport and logistics solutions
  • Strong knowledge of the Transport & Supply Chain market
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and strategic account management within contract logistics and dedicated transport environments, ideally with a transport/supply chain provider
  • Excellent communication and high-level negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Professional (“business”) level proficiency in English
