HSE Manager – Kurko Projects Oy (ENG)

SSAB is building a new Mini Mill steel plant in Luleå, Sweden. It is one of Europe’s most exciting industrial projects and a significant step towards fossil-free steel production.

Kurko Projects’ lifting professionals are carrying out the lifting and installation work for the project. We are now looking for an experienced HSE Manager to take responsibility for health, safety and environmental matters across Kurko Projects’ operations in Sweden.

Your key responsibilities

• ensuring that our operations comply with Swedish legislation and the client’s HSE requirements,
• preparing risk assessments and task-specific method statements, including RAMS documentation, together with site management,
• supporting and guiding site supervisors and management on safety matters,
• monitoring and reporting safety performance indicators,
• investigating incidents and deviations and ensuring that lessons are learned,
• acting as the main point of contact for the client’s HSE organisation.

What we expect from you

• experience in HSE roles on industrial or construction sites,
• the ability to work independently in a demanding client environment,
• fluent English,
• Swedish language skills and previous work experience in Sweden are considered strong advantages,
• Bas-P or Bas-U training, or a willingness to complete the training with support from the employer,
• a firm but people-oriented approach and the ability to build trust on site.

The position requires the right to work in Sweden.
