Vielfältige Aufgaben
Be part of an exciting new Digital Trading Team at EnBW Trading, where we are building state-of-the-art platforms and infrastructure to accelerate digital, quantitative, and automated trading across energy markets.A wide range of tasks
- Design and build core front-to-back trading platform components (OMS, venue/exchange connectivity, market data, messaging, replay& recovery) for EnBW’s power and gas trading.
- Architect and implement distributed, event-driven, high-throughput systems enabling real-time energy trading, electronic risk oversight and automation.
- Develop cloud-native solutions (AWS), including infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, observability and production monitoring for mission-critical trading services.
- Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative developers and platform architects to deliver robust technology for quant, algorithmic and systematic trading across multiple energy markets.
- Contribute to the evolution towards digital trading by integrating AI-assisted development, MCP tooling, and platform reliability engineering in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Überzeugendes Profil
Convincing profile
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java skills, including concurrent and multi-threaded programming in Linux-based environments.
- Proven track record building distributed, event-driven or high-throughput systems, ideally in electronic trading, market infrastructure or other data- and latency-sensitive domains.
- Hands-on experience with messaging, networking and data-intensive applications, plus a solid understanding of replay, recovery and sequencing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures (preferably AWS), automation and operational tooling, including observability, monitoring and production engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, coupled with a genuine interest in energy trading, renewable-driven markets and the digital transformation of trading platforms.

Our Trading unit is responsible for the optimal management of EnBW's portfolio, is active in the trading of renewable energies and thus supports the Energiewende. We are also involved in future topics such as hydrogen or smart& digital in trading, as well as in new supply contracts and the management of renewable energies. EnBW's Business Unit Trading operates with an international team with employees from more than 30 nations, represented at 4 European locations: Germany, England, Norway and Switzerland.
