Your Tasks

• Technical review of a report on the thermal design of the cables in the tunnel.
• Evaluation of the calculation bases, boundary conditions, model assumptions, and results presented in the report with regard to plausibility and traceability.
• Technical evaluation of the thermal load-bearing capacity of the cable systems under consideration, taking into account the project-specific installation conditions.
• Review of the technical design documents prepared by the contracted designers in HOAI service phases 2 and 3.
• Evaluation of the completeness, consistency, and traceability of the submitted design and calculation documents.
• Identification of technical issues requiring clarification, risks, contradictions, or missing supporting documentation in the reviewed documents.
• Preparation of technical review comments, statements, and recommendations for action for further processing by the project participants.
• Project-specific coordination with the relevant technical contacts regarding review results and technical issues requiring clarification.
• Documentation of the results for presentation to the department as a basis for further project-related decisions.

Job Requirements

• Proven expertise in the field of high- and extra-high-voltage cable technology.
• Experience with thermal calculations for cable systems.
• Experience with software for thermal calculations of cables.
• Experience in the technical evaluation of cable calculations, technical reports, and design documents.
• Knowledge of cable systems in complex installation scenarios, particularly tunnel applications.
• Ability to independently prepare clear and comprehensible technical review comments and recommendations for action.
• Good English skills (at least B2 level) for evaluating English-language technical documents
