Your Mission
At Dive, we are building a cloud-native, agent-native simulation platform that makes advanced heat and fluid simulation accessible to every mechanical engineer. Join Dive's engineering team, where you'll collaborate with expert engineers across disciplines to create and enhance solvers and algorithms in C++ and Python. Your Responsibilities
The Dive platform is successfully used by hundreds of enterprises around the world. The multi-tenant application relies on dozens of nodes orchestrated over a highly dynamic Kubernetes infrastructure. As a Senior Platform & Backend Engineer, you will plan, implement, test, and roll out new infrastructure, services, and data pipelines so that customers all over the world have access to a high-performance product.
- Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, building a scalable, redundant, and secure foundation to our product
- Manage database and storage solutions to ensure terabytes of data are stored, retrieved, and maintained effectively
- Improve observability of our platform by extending metrics, logging, and tracing in collaboration with other team members
- You will develop and extend Python web services, with a strong emphasis on crafting efficient and robust business logic
- You will build durable workflows using Temporal (temporal.io) to orchestrate and manage complex processes and interactions within our application
- You will aid in the design of service architectures, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and performant
Your Qualifications
- You have 3**+ years of industry experience** in platform or backend development
- You have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied science, or a similar educational background
- You approach complex technical challenges with critical thinking, make well-reasoned architectural decisions, and effectively prioritize work to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions
- You demonstrate proficiency with infrastructure technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, ArgoCD, and Terraform
- You have used and ideally implemented the Grafana monitoring stack in a project
- You have practical experience with SQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL
- You are familiar with client-server and inter-service communication patterns like REST APIs, WebSocket and RPC
- You communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, take ownership of your work, continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
You thrive in an agile software development environment and embrace DevOps principles and practices
