Job Description:
Are you ready to shape the future of aviation? Join our On Board Power department! You'll be a key player in our Supply Chain & Quality team, where you'll oversee and improve all aspects of our suppliers' operational performance.
Think of yourself as the main point of contact for our suppliers. Your goal is to ensure products are delivered on time and with top quality, while also driving ongoing improvements throughout the supply chain. Beyond working with suppliers, you'll also represent our Supply Chain & Quality team internally, coordinate with important stakeholders, and proactively handle any risks or disruptions. Plus, you'll support and coach the team of Supply Chain & Quality Managers who manage our supplier base.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:
- Act as an interface with the supply base, supporting the Supply Chain & Quality Managers by fostering strong, collaborative relationships
- Perform effective control of supplier activities, developing a deep understanding of their overall situation and scope
- Develop, implement, and manage recovery, improvement, and development plans, covering both quality and delivery aspects
- Proactively identify supplier industrial risks and propose effective mitigation actions
- Report on supplier operational performance and assess their capacity and capability, contributing to their long-term development
Internal Coordination & Support:
- Maintain close communication with operational teams at internal customer sites to ensure seamless contributions to delivery & quality
- Address critical risks or disruptions with a solution-oriented approach
- Coordinate all stakeholders involved in supplier operations management
- Develop cross-functional teamwork, apply practical problem-solving tools, and accompany teams in implementing new ways of working
Your boarding pass
- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
- Several years of relevant professional experience in one or several of these domains: Supply Chain & Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Customer Support and Operations
- Proven track record in managing complex relationships and a solid grasp of delivery/quality management (including familiarity with standard SCQ tools)
- Demonstrated experience in functional leadership, with a track record of guiding, coaching, and supporting colleagues or cross-functional team members
- Exceptional communication & negotiation skills: You can clearly explain complex information, build strong relationships, and influence others effectively
- Problem-solving & resilience: You quickly find the root cause of issues, develop clever solutions under pressure, and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Negotiation level in English; German or French would be a strong plus
- Global mindset with the willingness to travel occasionally (4–6 trips per year) and flexibility to collaborate across different time zones (e.g., regular alignment with US partners)
