Shift Leader

Position Available:

• Shift Leader

As a Shift Leader**,** you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of our restaurant, ensuring smooth service and leading the team during your shifts. Your responsibilities include:

1. Staff

• Lead, coach and motivate team members to deliver high performance
• Promote a positive team culture with a focus on accountability, teamwork and hospitality
• Ensure consistent adherence to health & safety, food handling, and company policies

2. Suppliers

• Receive and check deliveries
• Assist with inventory management and stock ordering.
• Ensure all deliveries meet quality and safety standards

3. Facilities (Equipment & Hygiene Safety)

• Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen, dining area, and equipment
• Ensure all equipment is functional, and compliant with safety standards
• Ensure the store meets all HACCP requirements and food safety regulations

4. Quality

• Lead by example to maintain Le Smash quality standards at all times.
• Ensure all menu items are prepared to spec and served at optimal quality
• Conduct regular taste checks, visual inspections, and staff training on standards
• Implement systems to maintain food consistency, portion control, and speed of service

5. Customer

• Create a welcoming environment and ensure an exceptional guest experience
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
• Monitor service speed and accuracy during peak hours
• Gather customer feedback and communicate recurring issues or opportunities for improvement to management

Requirements:

• Must live in Groningen (age 25-35 preferred).
• Experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible availability including evening and weekend shifts.
• A friendly, team-oriented attitude and a passion for great service and food quality!
• Previous leadership experience is preferred but not essential.
