Do you want to sit at the center of decisions that move our pipeline forward? As the Global Project Leader’s trusted partner, you will create momentum for Global Project Teams by aligning stakeholders, sharpening priorities, and turning complexity into clear plans and follow-through. If you thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and bring strong project management experience with solid knowledge of drug development, this could be your next step.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will be the backbone of one or more Global Project Teams, supporting the Global Project Leader and helping the team progress with pace and clarity. You will support a cluster of projects across the drug development value chain, from Pre-Clinical to Approval, and take ownership of the team’s operating rhythm by ensuring the right topics are prepared, stakeholders are engaged, decisions are captured, and follow-through happens.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the Global Project Leader across one or more Global Project Teams to clarify priorities, sharpen decision asks, capture decisions and actions, and ensure progress across stakeholders.
- Driving sub-tracks independently, facilitating strategic workshops, and developing content with key stakeholders to support alignment.
- Running the Global Project Team cadence by planning meetings, building strategic agendas, tracking actions to closure, coordinating larger project off-sites, and maintaining an effective collaboration set-up such as Teams sites.
- Preparing and coordinating governance interactions, including stage-gate reviews, with clear pre-reads, focused decision asks, timely follow-up, and structured input to the Product Development Plan and overall project planning.
- Maintaining transparent risk reporting, including risk grids, driving mitigation planning and tracking, ensuring accurate system updates such as Global Project Planner, keeping documentation audit-ready, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your value chain understanding, build advanced project leadership capabilities, and shadow the Global Project Leader in strategic initiatives.
Your new department
You will join the PSPL Project Leadership Center of Excellence, an area dedicated to providing operational and strategic support to Global Project Teams. The team operates across three locations: Søborg and Måløv in Denmark, and Lexington in the US.
The atmosphere is collaborative, fast paced, and dynamic, with a strong focus on driving impactful projects and delivering value to Novo Nordisk’s pipeline. Joining the team means becoming part of an environment that values innovation, teamwork, and meaningful business impact.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who brings strong project management experience, a solid understanding of drug development, and the ability to work effectively across functions in a global matrix organization.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- A master’s degree or higher in a scientific field, combined with minimum 3+ years of project management experience, preferably within pharmaceutical R&D.
- A solid understanding of the drug development process, from Pre-Clinical to Approval, including cross-functional interfaces such as Clinical Operations.
- Strong value chain understanding, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Experience preparing governance interactions, combined with strong strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated digital acumen, including the ability to leverage AI, digital tools, and systems to drive efficient project execution and informed decision-making.
As a person, you bring a proactive and ambitious mindset. You can anticipate needs, adapt to changing priorities, and independently drive consistent follow-through in a highly dynamic environment.
