About this Position
Are you passionate about international trade, customs compliance, and driving operational excellence in a global environment? As a Global Trade & Customs Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our global Trade & Customs program. Working with a highly skilled international team, you will help ensure compliant, efficient, and future-ready trade operations while contributing to strategic initiatives that support our global supply chain.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across regions and functions, influence global trade processes, and work on digital transformation initiatives, including SAP GTS rollouts. You will also have the opportunity to expand your expertise by tackling complex international trade challenges and contributing to high-impact projects such as mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
What you´ll do
- Collaborate with a team of highly motivated Trade & Customs specialists across different regions to further develop and communicate the global Trade & Customs management program.
- Manage and support initiatives that optimize global trade processes, driving efficiency, compliance, operational excellence, and digitalization.
- Coordinate with third-party customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient import and export operations.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver training programs for business partners involved in international trade and customs activities.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customs authorities, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support business objectives.
- Participate in strategic cross-functional and cross-regional projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
- Address complex global trade and customs challenges while continuously developing expertise in SAP GTS and trade compliance.
- Monitor changes in international trade regulations and translate them into practical business solutions and process improvements.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in trade and customs management within a multinational organization, customs brokerage, or a Big Four consulting or law firm.
- Strong knowledge of international customs and trade regulations, with a solid understanding of global supply chain operations.
- Experience with or strong interest in digital trade solutions; knowledge of SAP GTS is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across cultures and functions.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, combined with project management experience.
- Well-organized, results-driven, and proactive, with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment.
