For our German sites in Kerpen near Cologne we are looking for a
CAE Application Engineer (m/f/d) - Customer Interface Team
Day in the Life:
Directly execute process simulation analysis on Customer projects with LyondellBasell materials and assesses the validity of the design proposed by the Customer in light of his/her knowledge of LyondellBasell material properties and behaviour
Writes technical reports summarizing the process analysis results and discusses them in meetings (in presence or via web) with the Customer
Take over and ensure process simulations needed within Customer applicative projects, in agreement with project leader and with Business directions, following team standard practices and communication procedures
Handle and resolve customer CAE data support requests
Provide collaboration to simulation methodology development, under the direction of the direct supervisor
Provide collaboration to data management development, under the guidance of the direct supervisor and of the system administrator, through the analysis of big data and their introduction into a CAE-proprietary database
Contributes in the organization and update of injection moulding data in Databases at Software companies, organizing all related xls-sheets, documentation and interactions
Supports selection and evaluation of CAE SW tools, verifying performances and issues, under the guidance of the system administrator
You Bring This Value:
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or equivalent
Experience with a role of process simulation
Knowledge and fluent usage of PC Operating system (MS-Windows) and MS-Office tools, Excel in particular
Basic knowledge of polymers rheological and mechanical behaviour, including viscoelasticity and viscoplasticity; knowledge of continuum mechanics can be an asset
Basic knowledge of fundamentals of data analysis and signal manipulation, as plotting, filtering, sampling; statistics can be an asset
Trainings in simulations codes like Moldflow, Moldex3D, Ansa or similar is a plus
Knowledge of one or more Computer Simulation codes like Moldlfow, Moldex3D or knowledge of other CAD/CAE SW tools can be an asset is a plus
Programming tools: Visual Basic, Matlab, Python, Fortran, or others is a plus
Experience with SW characterized by high complexity can be an asset is a plus
English (fluent) mandatory, German, Italian is a plus
Team working ability, Collaboration skills, Analytical and Problem solving skills
Ability to work by targets and comply with Company and Team objectives
Willingness to learn and improve skills as a continuous development
