Technical Specialist Audio / Responsable Technique Audio (H/F)
Location: Paris, France (Relocation offer)
Languages: French or English mandatory
Contract Type: Full-time permanent (CDI)
Salary: €39,000 to €45,000 gross annual (depending on experience)
About the Role
As a Technical Event Supervisor, you will play a key role in the success of our events. You will oversee technical operations on-site, manage field teams, and deliver a first-class client experience in a fast-paced event and hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Operations & Equipment Management
- Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth event execution by providing fast, precise setup, operation, and teardown of advanced audiovisual equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues as they arise on-site.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce all company safety and security policies. Report any HSE risks to the HSE Manager, Line Manager, or Project Manager.
- Asset Protection: Safeguard equipment from theft and damage during handling and operation.
2. Client Service & Stakeholder Management
- World-Class Service: Deliver exceptional service and consistently strive to exceed the expectations of both internal and external clients.
- Communication: Maintain positive, professional relationships through clear and effective communication.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams before and during events to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
- Strategic Vision: Understand and cultivate strong working relationships between the venue/hotel, our teams, and the client.
3. Event Supervision & Leadership
- Drive pre-event, live event, and post-event technical execution alongside operational team members.
- Supervise and lead technicians on the floor during live events.
4. Team Development & Mentorship
- Mentoring: Coach, train, and upscale the technical skills of technical, sales, and operational team members as needed.
- Talent Empowerment: Foster an environment that encourages technical and leadership growth among staff.
5. Equipment Maintenance & Logistics
- Assist the team in properly prepping, securing, storing, transporting, and maintaining equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and forecast future equipment needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Technology or an equivalent field is preferred.
- Technical Experience: At least 4 years of experience in a specialized AV role.
- Customer Service: 3 to 5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing multi-task projects or complex initiatives.
- Communication: Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse workforce, varied clientele, and senior executives.
- Languages: French or English mandatory (spoken and written).
