Parallel Fresh BV is looking for an ambitious Financial Controller & Business Partner to join our growing leadership team in Rotterdam.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional financial reporting and become a trusted adviser to senior management.
As part of the Fresh Hub Group, you will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of our European business while helping drive commercial performance and operational excellence.
The Role
This position has a dual reporting line, reporting operationally to the Head of Parallel Fresh BV and functionally to the Group Head of Finance based at our UK Head Office. You will be responsible for leading the finance function in the Netherlands while partnering closely with operational, procurement and commercial teams to improve business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day finance function
- Producing accurate management accounts and financial reports
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Business partnering with operational and commercial colleagues
- Providing financial analysis to support business decisions
- Reviewing margins, profitability and commercial performance
- Developing KPIs and management reporting
- Driving improvements in finance systems, controls and processes
- Supporting Group reporting and finance projects
About You
We are looking for someone who can combine strong financial expertise with commercial thinking.
You will ideally have:
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification (or be working towards qualification)
- Experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Experience within FMCG, food, logistics or supply chain would be an advantage
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent English (Dutch language skills are desirable but not essential)
