We are expanding our Verification, Validation and Operations (V&V+OPS) team to support the CELESTE (LEOPNT) Control Centre, where you will contribute to the integration, verification, validation and operation of critical systems for space missions. You will work alongside highly specialized professionals in an innovative environment, taking part in projects with real impact while continuously developing your technical skills.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of the V&V+OPS team, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of every element that makes up a satellite control centre. You will contribute both to system integration, verification and validation activities and to the operational support of the control centre.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Installing and deploying the complete control centre software.
• Preparing test environments, including continuous integration activities.
• Automating test execution and developing tools for testing and configuration management.
• Planning, preparing, executing and reporting verification and validation campaigns.
• Defining, preparing and executing operational procedures.
• Analysing operational data received from the system.
• Coordinating with other mission teams, such as experimentation teams.
• Providing on-call / call-in operational support when required.
• Occasional travel to Germany and Italy for software installation and test campaign execution.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for professionals with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering or related disciplines, interested in space systems, satellite operations and verification and validation activities.

We are looking for candidates with knowledge or experience in:

• Complex and distributed systems running on Linux environments.
• Test campaigns, including planning, preparation, execution and reporting.
• System operations.

Knowledge or experience in the following areas will also be valued:

• Space sector and satellite control centres.
• Virtualization and container technologies such as vSphere, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Requirements and test management tools such as DOORS, qTest, TestLink or TestRail.
• Issue tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla or Redmine.
• Source code management systems such as Git or SVN.
• Scripting and automation using Python or Ansible.
