At Specsavers, we're dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to all. As pioneers and a global leader in innovative technologies, we help people optimise their vision and hearing. We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.
To strengthen our Commercial team, we're looking for a Commercial Development Manager to join our Northern Europe Support Office in Nordhavn. In this newly established role, you'll help build and strengthen the commercial finance capability across the region, supporting strategic decisions with robust analysis, modelling and performance insights.
The team
As Commercial Development Manager, you'll join the Commercial function and report directly to the Director of Commercial Development. You'll work closely with the Commercial Director, Finance, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Retail Operations, Business Transformation Services and stakeholders across Northern Europe.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure commercial decisions are supported by clear insights, sound judgement and strong financial foundations. You'll join a team focused on creating long-term value, improving commercial performance and driving smarter ways of working across the business.
Your role
As our Commercial Development Manager, you'll help strengthen the commercial decision-making capability across Northern Europe through high-quality financial modelling, performance analysis and business insight. You'll act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, providing the financial visibility and strategic perspective needed to support growth and manage risk effectively.
In this role, you'll:
- Develop financial models that support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and commercial evaluations across Northern Europe.
- Turn complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that support decision-making at a senior level.
- Prepare monthly commercial performance reporting, bringing clarity to business performance and key trends.
- Identify opportunities, risks and value drivers through in-depth commercial and financial analysis.
- Support investment appraisals, business cases and strategic proposals, ensuring financial assumptions are robust and transparent.
- Contribute to the development of commercial finance frameworks, reporting tools and best practices across the region.
- Drive simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement of commercial finance processes and ways of working.
- Build strong relationships across functions and act as a trusted advisor who can challenge assumptions and influence decisions constructively.
Some travel within Northern Europe may be required.

Your qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with commercial curiosity, analytical rigour and the ability to influence stakeholders through insight and credibility.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience within Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or a similar business partnering environment.
- Advanced financial modelling capabilities and experience building end-to-end models that support commercial decision-making.
- A strong track record of developing business cases, investment appraisals and scenario analyses.
- Experience translating complex financial information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- A data-driven and commercially minded approach to identifying opportunities, risks and performance drivers.
- Experience driving process improvements and helping organisations work more efficiently through simplification and standardisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across functions and levels.
On a personal level, we imagine you're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex challenges and thrive when balancing analytical thinking with practical business impact. You're comfortable working through ambiguity, making sound recommendations and influencing decisions through insight rather than authority.
