What we are looking for
At Netenders, we're seeking a Head of IT to lead our technology efforts, manage our internal IT team, and work with remote vendors to develop and maintain our e-commerce platforms. Working closely with the CEO and COO, you'll be instrumental in shaping our technology strategy, overseeing infrastructure, nurturing technical talent, and driving innovation.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a visionary e-commerce technology roadmap, collaborating closely with the leadership team to align IT goals with broader business objectives.
- Drive competitive advantage by evaluating emerging technologies, tracking market trends, and adopting industry best practices.
- Design, deploy, and manage high-performing technical infrastructure across e-commerce frontend, backend, and native apps.
- Guarantee maximum uptime, security, and site reliability through fast issue resolution and proactive prevention.
- Recruit, mentor, and oversee high-performing tech teams, with a specialized focus on Ruby on Rails and React.
- Foster a collaborative, highly motivated environment that drives continuous learning based on individual strengths.
- Define and analyze technical and operational KPIs for our e-commerce platforms, taking strategic actions to drive continuous performance improvements.
- Lead the development and launch of new platform features across teams, ensuring code quality, strict project timelines, and budget alignment.
- Oversee successful website rollouts, managing Google campaign launches and maintaining seamless Google feed integrations per platform guidelines.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in technical leadership roles, with a strong preference for e-commerce sector expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of e-commerce technologies, cloud architectures, content management systems (CMS), and databases.
- Proficiency in Ruby and Rails.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, including the coordination of multidisciplinary teams working with diverse languages and platforms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, enabling you to translate technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, Google Shopping and Google Ads
- Experience with online analytics and advertising tools is advantageous.
