Food Service Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and trustworthy Food Service Associate to join the Stroop & Zo team at our soon-to-open location in Enchanted Kingdom, Santa Rosa, Laguna.

In this role, you will help deliver the authentic taste of Dutch stroopwafels and specialty treats while providing excellent customer service. Because the position involves handling cash, recording transactions, and supporting end-of-day sales reporting, we are especially looking for someone with previous cashiering or POS experience, strong attention to detail, and a high level of integrity.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, performs well in a fast-paced food service environment, and can be trusted with sales records, and confidential business information.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly, and efficient service to all customers.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages according to Stroop & Zo quality and presentation standards.
• Operate the POS system and cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, card, and other customer payments responsibly.
• Ensure all transactions, discounts, voids, refunds, and other POS activities are recorded correctly.
• Perform accurate cash counting and reconciliation at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Assist with end-of-day sales and cashier reports, ensuring that cash collections and POS records are complete and properly accounted for.
• Promptly report any cash discrepancies, transaction issues, or operational concerns to management.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sales information, financial records, company documents, and other sensitive information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, cashier area, food preparation areas, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory monitoring, restocking, and receiving supplies as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and company operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, quick-service restaurants, cafés, retail, or similar customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Experience with cashiering, POS systems, and handling customer payments is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable preparing and serving food and beverages while following company quality and hygiene standards.
• Able to handle both front-of-house customer service and food preparation duties during a shift.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when taking orders, processing payments, and completing end-of-day cashiering and sales reports.
• Honest, trustworthy, and responsible when handling cash, company records, and confidential information.
• Friendly and service-oriented, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Willing to learn and follow company procedures for food preparation, cashiering, cleanliness, inventory, and reporting.
• Able to work collaboratively with the team and assist wherever needed in daily store operations.
