Mission of the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Mechanical Engineering leader to join Visteon's Mechanical Department. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in automotive mechanical systems design, development, and integration. The successful candidate will Lead, Customer Interface in EU, Coordinate with ME team members in global teams to get the customer deliverables, meeting customer requirements and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

With good leadership skill to manage a ME group to define the mechanical structures that are required to support the module needs that meet the customer specification, the cost targets, reliability targets and manufacturing.

To manage the project according to automotive development flow, to be sure that all deliverables are on track

Support the request for quotation (RFQ) process by:

Implement the mechanical architectures in the quotation phase.

Generate the needed design document to show compliance for internal and external review.

Present the design to internal and external customers, defend the design in a technical forum.

Meet with internal and external customers to understand and resolve potential technical issues.

Leading technical product development by:

Lead initial phase of the design as it transfers from quote phase to execution phase.

Interface with customer and advanced engineering teams to understand current and future architectures, requirements, and technology needs.

Participate in the on boarding of new technologies and suppliers.

Establish engineering process compliance needed to validate the design.

Playing a lead role in technical and complex problem solving when design issues arise
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 1 project lead experience from RFQ to SOP, good knowledge in managing a mechanical team/project according to global automotive design flow (project manager experience is preferred).
- Minimum five years of experience in automotive design in global tier 1 or OEM.
- Some knowledge for the mechanical system design of vehicle charging system electronics or powertrain modules (not mandatory).
- An in-depth knowledge for the mechanical system design of power electronics system including inverters, On-Board chargers, DC/DC (not mandatory).
- An in-depth knowledge of enclosure design, thermal management, structural design, sealing, interconnections, PCB, and material selection for in cabin and exterior of cabin environments
- Experience in designs using sheet metal, plastic moldings, extrusions, and castings including design for manufacturing reviews.
- Experience in quoting process, design and launch of high-volume power electronics for mass production.
- Experience in interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers at the OEM or Tier 1 level .
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in requirement analysis and issue management (Doors, Jira…)
- Experience in ASIL-D, DFMEA and other quality documents
- Failure analysis and testing experience
- Strong understanding of design for module level reliability
- Understanding of EMC/ESD and circuit design
- Experience in CAD systems (Catia Preferred, Tc database…)
- Experience in BOM release process
- Experience in structural or thermal simulation tools (Preferred)
- Good English skill (mandatory)
