The position of CTSCoE& Oversight Lead is created to enable consistent standards, authoritative decision-making (including PARP), and stronger governance acrosslocations. Led by a dedicated capability Lead, this model enhances risk management, scalability, and sustainable knowledge development on client tax across ING.

You will be responsible for a global team of ~10 FTE across countries and hubs and work closely with a large group of diverse internal stakeholders, including Global FCFP MT, MT COO, CTO/KYC & CTS, ING Hubs, 2nd Line, Tax, and external stakeholders such as DNB, ECB, FIU, and the Ministry of Finance US.

You report to the Global Head of Client Tax Services and are part of the Client Tax Services Leadership Team and Global CTS Control Board.

Roles and responsibilities

The CTSCoE& Oversight Leadis responsible for:

  • Provide TaxProductexpertiseto advise countries, product lines, and product owners
  • Define business requirements towards the Tax Product Area for changes in tooling and solutions, and for Tax Operations and locations.Own and drive the continuous development, sharing, and scaling ofexpertiseby building and nurturing a strong knowledge community
  • Build andmaintainthe global CTS community for all CTS products, including country alignment calls, tracking progress, issues, and targets
  • Set reporting frameworks thatprovideoperational insights and enable data-driven decisions to improve tax processes and operations
  • Manage standards, governance, progress, performance, and reporting, including translation and implementation of new regulations into operationalCoEpractice
  • Ensure, together with Reporting Services, that Tax end-to-end processes areoptimized, standardized, and aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals
  • Coordinate with second line ofdefenseand Tribe on relevant activities, including defining target model, translating policies into business requirements, and performing business impact assessments
  • Act as a bridge between strategic intent and operational execution

  • University or postgraduate degree in a relevant field
  • 10+ years’ experience in global financial services, including setting up and running international operational andexpertisefunctions
  • 5+ years in management roles, preferably with tax experience
  • Extensive client tax and regulatoryexpertise, including CRS/FATCA, withholding tax and reportability decisions, with the ability to translate this into global standards and guidance
  • Capability to design and run a global Centre of Expertise, including specialist community building, ways of working, knowledgemanagementand learning paths
  • Ability to set and continuously improve NFR/policy frameworks, control standards, decision forums and reporting to keep CTS demonstrably in control
  • Strong understanding of process optimisation and service delivery in a regulated environment, including SLAs, operatingrhythmsand continuous improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority and align business,riskand technology stakeholders globally
  • Ability to build effective teams, develop talent and grow capability across hubs and locations
  • Demonstrates integrity, organisational sensitivity, hands-on ownership,transparencyand fluent English communication Rewards and benefits
