Reporting to the Global Head of Product Management, you will establish clear, scalable and efficient ways of working that enable consistent decision-making and effective collaboration across a global matrix organization. A key part of the role is connecting Product Management with the broader Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework, working closely with TECH R&D Process Management and other stakeholders to create effective interfaces from product strategy and development through commercialization, lifecycle management and end-of-life.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact on how Product Management operates: simplifying complexity, increasing transparency and enabling teams to work together more effectively.
Your Role
You will:
- Own and continuously improve the Product Management process landscape across TECH PM, covering areas such as product strategy, portfolio planning, business cases, roadmaps, market and customer requirements, lifecycle planning, commercialization, product maintenance, change management and discontinuation.
- Develop and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures, work instructions, templates, methodologies and governance models.
- Define process architecture, ownership and decision governance, helping create greater consistency and transparency across teams, business units and product groups.
- Align Product Management processes with TECH R&D development processes and the wider PLM framework, including milestones, deliverables, decision gates and handovers.
- Facilitate effective collaboration across Product Management, R&D and downstream functions from ideation through lifecycle management.
- Champion Lean Management and continuous improvement, using approaches such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, A3 Problem Solving and Visual Management.
- Promote Agile ways of working through customer-focused decisions, iterative improvement, rapid feedback, incremental value delivery and continuous learning.
- Partner with functions including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Go-to-Market, Customer Service, Training and Education, Finance and Enterprise Services.
- Use KPIs, dashboards and standardized documentation to improve transparency, organizational maturity and decision-making.
- Benchmark processes against relevant industry practices and identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce lead times, eliminate non-value-adding activities and improve quality and consistency.
Your Profile:
Based on the role scope, this position requires the ability to:
- Lead and improve complex business processes across a global, cross-functional organization.
- Translate complex workflows into clear, practical processes, governance and standards.
- Work effectively across organizational boundaries and align different stakeholders around shared ways of working.
- Apply Lean and Agile principles to identify improvement opportunities and deliver sustainable change.
- Understand process interfaces across a product lifecycle and support effective handovers between functions.
- Use structured problem-solving, data, KPIs and process documentation to support better decisions.
