Responsibilities
Data Operations
Manage and support daily data collection and delivery processes across a large portfolio of business applications
Data Lifecycle
Ensure data extraction, validation, delivery and disposal are completed accurately within agreed SLAs and timelines
Workflow Monitoring
Monitor automated workflows, investigate failures and implement solutions to maintain reliable operations
Python Automation
Maintain and enhance existing Python scripts and automation solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
Data Validation
Use SQL to validate data completeness, accuracy and consistency across production datasets
Technical Troubleshooting
Analyse operational issues and determine appropriate technical or process solutions
Governance & Compliance
Support retention, archiving, disposal and decommissioning while maintaining data governance and compliance requirements
Process Improvement
Identify automation and improvement opportunities, reduce manual effort and communicate risks, status and results to stakeholders
Requirements
IT Operations Experience
Strong experience in IT service operations or operational process management in reliable daily service environments
SLA Management
Ability to work effectively within agreed SLAs, deadlines and operational controls
Python Skills
Advanced Python skills with the ability to maintain scripts, troubleshoot code, diagnose failures and implement improvements independently
SQL Skills
Strong SQL skills with the ability to query large production datasets and verify data completeness, accuracy and consistency
Excel Skills
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, validation and operational reporting
Technical Troubleshooting
Experience troubleshooting and supporting day-to-day technical operations and resolving operational issues
Data Governance
Understanding of data lifecycle management, including retention, archiving, disposal, decommissioning, MDM or data governance
Process Improvement & Communication
Experience improving and automating processes with measurable results, combined with strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
