The Opportunity
Be a part of a global, diverse and dynamic team leading the charge in the energy transition. As a Supplier Quality Manager , you will play a critical role in strengthening our supply base and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that suppliers consistently meet Hitachi Energy and customer requirements. You will lead supplier quality activities focused on risk mitigation, supplier development, quality assurance, and operational excellence , directly contributing to improved quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.

How you'll make an impact
- Lead supplier and material qualification and approval processes.
- Drive Supplier Qualification, PPAP, and Supplier Classification activities.
- Manage supplier non-conformities and validate corrective actions.
- Analyze supplier quality KPIs including PPM, COPQ, audits, and claims.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance reviews.
- Partner with Procurement and Engineering on supplier selection and industrialization activities.
- Support new product introductions, design changes, supplier transfers, and process changes.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments within Quality, Engineering, SCM, or Supplier Management.
- Proven experience managing supplier quality issues, corrective actions, audits, and supplier development programs.
- Solid knowledge of quality methodologies and tools such as 8D, DMAIC, PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, MSA, Cp and Cpk .
- Experience working with ERP systems and quality management tools; SAP knowledge is required.
- Advanced English communication skills is a must.
