Duties
This position serves as Staff Assistant to the Ambassador, and Front Office. The incumbent reports to the Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) and serves as liaison between the Front Office and other sections/agencies. The primary responsibility of the staff assistant is to ensure the Ambassador and DCM/Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) are prepared
for appointments, meetings, and events by tracking the flow of paper and soliciting, and when necessary, editing supporting documents, briefing materials, talking points, and remarks.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements: EXPERIENCE: At least two years of administrative work experience in an office setting.

Education Requirements: EDUCATION: High school diploma required.
Evaluations: LANGUAGE: English Level 4 (Fluent) — speaking, reading, and writing; may include the ability to translate. This may be tested.

Qualifications: SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer literacy on a variety of standard office software. Good organizational, flexibility, communication, interpersonal, research and internet skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.

Benefits and Other Info
Benefits: Agency Benefits: Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-CountryNationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Netherlands may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits. ForEFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
Salary: Salaries listed are base salaries for a 40-hour work week. Example: $38,926 full-time annual base salary at grade FP-08. An additional 22.62% will be added to the listed salary for Overseas Comparability Pay.
For U.S. Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) hired under a Family Member Appointment, the base salary noted above will be prorated based on a 32-hour work week.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office. The final salary and grade are determined by Washington.
