Discover the Role As part of the Internal Finance EMEA R2R team, this role supports the general ledger (GL) accounting process, month-end close (MEC), and reporting. The role is responsible for a variety of R2R tasks, including month-end activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with group standards. Responsibilities include tracking significant deviations and preparing variance analyses. With experience, the role also provides support to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure bookkeeping complies with group accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality financial data.
- Prepare month-end closing entries, including fixed asset depreciation, prepaid expenses, accruals, IFRS adjustments, etc.
- Perform month-end closing, including account reconciliations and analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
- Prepare monthly variance analyses and provide explanations for significant deviations.
- Prepare specifications and reconciliations of reported data.
- Perform all activities accurately and on time, according to guidelines provided by the Team Leader.
Key Requirements
- University/College degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a GL position (required).
- Good command of English (both verbal and written).
- Strong knowledge of accounting rules.
- Knowledge of IFRS is considered an asset.
