Join our Adsorbents & Additives (A&A) Sustainability Transformation team and actively contribute to our sustainability agenda — from tracking our carbon footprint to supporting strategic sustainability initiatives across the business unit.
For our A&A teamin Munich, Germany, we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) - Sustainability Management.
The position is temporary (9 - 12 months) and will be part-time (15-20 hours/week). The ideal start date is November 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support sustainability data collection and analysis, contributing to strengthening the sustainability aspects of our value propositions and to fulfilling reporting requirements
- Assist in performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) across our Adsorbents & Additives portfolio, supporting key customer requests and internal product sustainability analysis
- Help prepare internal and external sustainability communications, presentations, trainings and customer questionnaires
- conduct research and support monitoring relevant sustainability regulations and trends that affect the Adsorbents & Additives portfolio and help identify best practices to inform decision-making
- Support ongoing carbon emission reduction projects (focus on Scope 3) in line with the BU's strategic direction and commitments
- Contribute to the sustainability assessment of products using Clariant's Portfolio Value Program, helping evaluate and communicate sustainability performance across the BU's product range
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration with a sustainability focus
- Strong analytical mindset - ability to structure complex information, draw insights, and translate data into clear recommendations
- Excellent presentation skills - proficient in PowerPoint; able to craft compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
- Clear and confident communicator - both written and verbal (in English, additional languages are an asset); comfortable working in an international environment
- Proactive, organized, independent and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
- Solid knowledge of sustainability topics - familiar with ESG frameworks, climate-related reporting (e.g. CSRD, TCFD), carbon footprinting (PCF & CCF), LCA or circular economy concepts
